You may qualify for US Department of Education grants, which is money you can keep to pay for your tution and living expenses and that you do not have to pay back. You may also qualify for loans at a very low interest rate to help pay for your tuition and other expenses while you are in school.
This is better than borrowing money from private sources that charge higher rates and put other roadblocks for borrowers, such as having multiple cosigners or demonstrating very high credit scores.
